Cheers, to the second edition of Beers and Brush Pens, starring you and your Boo!

Need a date idea for Valentine's Day? Here's one. I'm coming back to the Elysian Taproom to teach another brush pen calligraphy workshop.

Learn something new together! I'll be teaching some basic brush pen calligraphy, and as a participant in my workshop, you'll get $3 pints for you and your date. We'll have a designated table at the taproom, and I'll have all the materials you'll need for this class. You'll have markers, paper, and a workbook to take home and practice on your own time.

I'll be going through basic warm-up strokes, then we'll go through how to construct individual letters. Once you get the hang of that, I'll show you how to properly space your letters visually, and how to make adjustments after you've created your final idea. At the end of the workshop, we'll create a final piece to share with your someone special (and that includes yourself, in case you needed a reminder that you are the most special).

This workshop is great for anyone without experience in brush pen calligraphy, but also suited for those who want to learn a new style. And don't worry. No pressure for all the single people out there. Everyone is welcome. Bring a friend or just yourself. Either way, I'll be right there with you, with a beer in my own hand.
